ALICE HUNTER. The third daughter of Peter and Mary Jane Hunter was Alice who came into this world on the 28/10/1885. Alice was born educated and raised at Tanjil South and was aged 15 when her mother died in 1900. She remained living with her sister Ede at the family home, and later married Condah Savige of Moe.
Five children were born to Alice and Condah:- Keith, Mary (Mrs J.Balfour), Hazel (Mrs McLeish), Ellen (Mrs A.Tabuteau), and Condah who married Helen Haisman. Several of Alice's children and grandchildren still live in and around Moe and Tanjil South.
During her lifetime Alice was a staunch supporter of the Moe Croquet Club, and had a great interest in the C.W.A. Alice Savige died on the 3/9/1954. She was buried at Moe.
