Lived in Elizabeth Street North, (Melbourne). Married Edward Charles Thornton on the 20th  Feb 1886, at 7 Royal Park Terrace, Hotham. She was then working as a Tailoress. Later lived in Bellair St, Kensington with her husband, when her mother Sarah Ann Prosser died.

Jean Kelly remembers her. She wrote to her on many occasions til her 19 year.  'Mrs Thornton', as she was to be called by the great niece, wrote back with some disapproval of my aunts dress and interest in dancing. "There are more important things in life than dancing". When Mrs Thornton was to visit the family, food was prepared on Friday, as no work was to be performed on the Saturday the Sabbath. Thus, it is thought she belonged at this time to Seventh Day Adventist Church. She was of later years thought to live in Collingwood or Fitzroy. Isabella died in Northcote in 1943.
