WINNIFRED AMELIA GOODING: Born on the 6th of December, 1885. 'Bonnie' as she was also known was born while her parents were living at Hazelwood. She was the fourth child, but the 3rd daughter, born to William and Marie. Her father gave her the name Bonnie, because she was, so he said 'A bonnie little girl with blue eyes and fair hair'. She spent the extent of her schooling at Tanjil South When she reached adulthood, she helped her mother with the work on the farm and in their home.
She married Delaney (Lance) Lewis, of Yinnar and bore four children. They were, Alice, William, Ethel, and Marie. Bonnie (Gooding) Lewis lived in retirement at Bairnsdale until her death, aged 66 years, and she was buried there.
