| Matthew Sharman was employed by the railways at Spalding, Lincolnshire, UK. He was transfered to Hereford where he met and married Ann Jones. Later, they treansfered to Brazil, where there children Thomas and Florence died. On returning to England, the found the weather too cold, and decided to emigrate to Australia. Arriving in Australia in 1880, they lived in Ross St, Richmond, Vic. and later moved to Lincoln St, Richmond in 1880. Sometime later Ann died and Matthew contacted an old sweatheart in England (Martha Neal) and she came out and they married. |
